NVIDIA introduces GeForce RTX 4070 Starting At Rs 62000

NVIDIA has introduced the GeForce RTX 4070, after the launch of RTX 4070 Ti in January. It employs the same TSMC’s 4nm process, is based on the new Ada Lovelace Architecture, and includes DLSS 3.

Dual AV1 video encoders are included in the newest RTX 4070 GPU. When enabled in leading video-editing and livestreaming apps like Adobe Premiere Pro (via the Voukoder plug-in), DaVinci Resolve, OBS, and Jianying, it allows for up to 20% faster video export speed, says the comppany.

It also supports NVIDIA’s recently announced RTX Video Super Resolution (RTX VSR), which combines the power of NVIDIA Tensor cores with AI image processing techniques to improve the quality of streamed 1080p video on your higher resolution display. VLC player has added the support for the feature.

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 comes in 12GB with 5,888 CUDA cores and 12GBof high-speed Micron GDDR6X memory, and with DLSS 3, it is faster 1.7x faster and consumes 23% less power compared to RTX 3070 Ti, said the company. It also has a maximum display resolution of 4K at 240Hz and 8K at 60Hz with DSC and HDR.

The GeForce RTX 4070 will allow you to play your favorite games at 1440p resolution. A Plague Tale: Requiem, Dying Light 2 Stay Human, Microsoft Flight Simulator, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, and other demanding games, according to the company, run at over 100 frames per second thanks to DLSS 3.

Pricing and Availability

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 is priced starting at $599 (Rs. 49,100 approx.) in the US for the Founders Edition. In India, the price starts at Rs. 62,000. It will roll out globally and in India starting April 13th.
