Xiaomi Showcases CyberOne Humanoid Bionic Robot
At the launch of MIX Fold 2, Xiaomi today unveiled CyberOne, their first humanoid robot, during a live event. According to Xiaomi, CyberOne can sense emotions and has a top speed of 3.6 km/h. CyberOne is the newest robot in the Xiaomi Cyber family. It comes after CyberDog, a four-legged robot dog with bionic legs.
The corporation hasn’t provided a lot of information regarding the robot. The robot is light and medium in height, according to Lei Jun, who also noted that it weighs 52 kilos and has a height of 1.77 metres. It can walk and grip objects in its hands while moving at a speed of 3.6 km/h. The CyberOne follows the August 2021 release of the CyberDog as the second product to come out of Xiaomi’s in-house robotics lab.

The company claims that the humanoid robot can detect 45 different sorts of emotions from human vocal expressions and has a face made of a curved OLED panel. It also has two microphones for hearing and two cameras for seeing in three dimensions.
Its body can move through 21 different degrees of freedom, which are made possible by 13 joints. Its legs are propelled by motors that have a maximum torque of 300Nm, while the motors in its upper limbs have a maximum torque of 1Nm.
During the presentation, CyberOne arrived on the stage holding a flower that he had given to Lei Jun, CEO of Xiaomi. However, it seems to be in an early stage of development, but so far it reminds us a bit of Tesla’s Optimus.

Despite the amazing live demonstration, Lei claimed that for the time being, each CyberOne would cost about 600,000 to 700,000 yuan (approximately $89,100 to $104,000), so it’ll be some time, if it ever does, until his firm can mass build this machine.
Introducing CyberOne, CEO Lei Jun said,
Meet #CyberOne, our first full-size humanoid robot developed by the Xiaomi Robotics Lab. The story of #CyberOne is one of embarking on a new journey of exploration in the field of intelligent robots. We still have a long way to go, but we always believe that something wonderful is about to happen.
