Xiaomi confirms Mi 10 series get Jio 5G SA support soon
Xiaomi partnered with Airtel to bring non-Standalone (NSA) 5G technology to the entire portfolio of over 20 Xiaomi and Redmi 5G devices back in October last year. It also partnered with Reliance Jio in December to bring Standalone (SA) 5G technology to several devices.
Today, the company has announced that it will be releasing an update soon to enable SA 5G support to few devices that are yet to get the functionality. It said that it is working hard towards resolving these on a real time basis.
The company said that it is aligning all its key products with this update to ensure complete satisfaction to its customers and its fans, delivering a seamless connected 5G experience.
Xiaomi said that Mi 11X and 11X Pro and Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G recently got the 5G SA support via an OTA update, and the company has promised that the Mi 10, Mi 10i, Mi 10T and Mi 10T Pro will receive an update soon to enable this functionality.
Xiaomi did not reveal the exact time frame for the roll-out of the update, but assured that it reveal more details on its social channels closer to the release of the update.
Regarding this, Xiaomi India said:
We are looking forward to enhancing our customer’s 5G experience with the deployment of this update, which is set to occur soon.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work towards addressing this issue.
