vivo X80 series India launch set for May 18
Update: vivo has confirmed the launch of X80 Series in India on May 18th. We can expect the same specs as the global version.
Earlier: vivo India posted a warm up page for the X80 series a couple of days back before pulling it down. The page confirmed the India launch of the X80 and X80 Pro phones on May 18th, weeks after they were introduced in China. The phones will see a global launch on May 8.
To remind you, the phones pack a 6.78-inch 120Hz curved E5 AMOLED screen. The X80 has an FHD+ screen, and the Pro has a Quad HD+ screen with ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. The X80 is powered by Dimensity 9000 SoC with 4285mm² VC cooling, 41266mm² large cooling area, and the X80 Pro is said to come only in Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 model for the global markets. This will pack a 2961mm² VC cooling and, a 46089mm² cooling area.
The X80 has a 50MP main camera with first Sony IMX866 RGBW sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle and a 12MP 50mm 2X portrait camera. The X80 Pro has a 50MP main camera with first Samsung GNV sensor, a 48MP ultra-wide-angle, a 12MP 50mm 2X portrait and an 8MP 5X periscope telephoto camera. All these have T* coating, ZEISS optics, and glass lenses to reduce dispersion.
There are IP68 ratings for dust and water resistance for X80 Pro. The phones pack a 4,500mAh and 4,700mAh batteries respectively with 80W wired fast charging. The X80 Pro also supports 50W wireless charging.
