Vi Rolls Out Voice Over Wi Fi VoWiFi Calling in Kerala

After rolling out in Karnataka last week, Vi has announced the roll-out of Voice Over Wi-Fi (VoWiFi) services for both the pre-paid and post-paid customers in Kerala circle across the state, including key cities of Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram, Thrissur, Kozhikode and Kannur, said the company.

This promises seamless and extended indoor coverage on all broadband networks at no extra charge. Several latest smartphones support Wi-Fi Calling (VoWiFi) that is automatically enabled when you make calls when connected to a Wi-Fi network, offering an enhanced voice calling experience, so there are no call drops.

Vi customers can activate VoWiFi calling service on the smartphone by
following these simple steps:

• Check if the smartphone supports Wi-Fi calling by visiting Wi-Fi calling page on myvi.in
• Have a Vi Sim with active VoLTE, calling service
• Get on to a Wi-Fi network, and switch on Wi-Fi calling on the device

According to Vi website, Vi is already testing VoWiFi service in Maharashtra & Goa, Kolkata, UPW, Punjab, Gujarat, Rajasthan, UP East, Rest of Bengal, Delhi, Mumbai and Haryana circles.
