Sara Ali Khan reflects on her memorable debut at Cannes 2023 says I even met Leonardo DiCaprio
Bollywood actress Sara Ali Khan took the prestigious Cannes Film Festival by storm with her exquisite fashion choices and undeniable charisma. Making her mark on the international stage, Sara captivated audiences and fashion enthusiasts alike with her impeccable style and confidence. With every appearance at Cannes, she left a lasting impression, proving that she is a force to be reckoned with in the world of fashion and entertainment. Bedecked in a stunning Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla lehenga, Sara mesmerized the red carpet with her regal charm and impeccable fashion sensibilities. Sara chose one of the designers’ beige lehengas. In a stunning floral-themed lehenga with delicate motifs in white and silver on a beige background, the actress was quite a sight.
In an interview with PTI, Sara discussed her presence at the Cannes film festival. She said, “I think it’s important to promote ‘Indianness’. We are such a culturally rich country. We have so many languages, emotions and so much depth and I’m proud to be able to talk about it on a global platform.”
Talking about her presence at Red Sea Film Festival, she said, “I was invited by the Indian pavilion (at Cannes) and I was also invited by the Red Sea Film Festival people who invited me there to celebrate women both behind the camera and in front of the camera.”
During her conversation with India Today, Sara Ali Khan shared her experience on her participation in Cannes 2023. She expressed how her time at the festival exposed her to diverse cultures, witnessing their vibrant celebrations. Sara said, “I think I learnt that every country has their own culture. Of course, we know this, but seeing it being celebrated. I was with actors from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Lebanon, Paris, I even met Leonardo DiCaprio. I think ultimately despite all our national differences, in terms of regions, the passion that we all feel is the same. Truly, it shows me how cinema transcends all kinds of nationalistic boundaries.”
Further talking to the same news portal when Sara was asked who she wanted to walk the red carpet with, she said, “I think right now Vicky Kaushal is the only one I’ll say though you said Hollywood, but Ryan Gosling. Main hamesha aise hi karti hoon, main sahi jawaab deke bol hi deti hoon!”
Sara Ali Khan was last seen with Vikrant Massey and Chitrangada Singh in Gaslight. She is currently busy with promoting Zara Hatke Zara Bachke with Vicky Kaushal. She also has the films Ae Watan Mere Watan, Murder Mubarak and Metro… In Dino lined up for release this year.
