Samsung Electronics has unveiled a brand-new form factor to its market-leading Odyssey series with the announcement of the Odyssey Ark, the very first 55-inch 1000R curved gaming screen on the market. The enormous display has a 165Hz refresh rate, a 1ms response time (GtG), an all-new cockpit mode, and an innovative controller, the Ark Dial – providing the ultimate window into the world of gaming with unmatched immersion.
The 55″ screen overwhelms your senses, producing an adrenaline-fueled experience. A 1000R curve wraps your view for maximum immersion. In Cockpit Mode, you can use the HAS (Height Adjustable Stand) to tilt and turn the screen. The Odyssey Ark uses Samsung’s Quantum Matrix Technology, which controls the densely packed LEDs ultra-finely.
With 14-bit processing and a sophisticated lighting management technology, gamers perceive dark and bright scenes, including 16,384 black levels. Samsung’s Matte Display and Sound Dome Technology enhance the Odyssey Ark’s cinematic experience. The Matte Display minimizes distractions by reducing glare and reflection.
The Odyssey Ark has an AI Sound Booster and Dolby Atmos to enhance the surround sound experience. With a 60W 2.2.2 channel and the lowest 45Hz notes of any game screen or soundbar, the sound from the four corner speakers and two central woofers is real and full.
The monitor comes with a 165Hz refresh rate, 4K (3,840 x 2,160) resolution, and a 1ms response time (GtG) with AMD FreeSync Premium Pro to maximize on-screen precision and provide gamers an edge in fast-moving surroundings. Odyssey Ark also offers strong gaming performance and a Samsung Gaming Hub.
The Samsung Gaming Hub is a game streaming discovery portal where gamers can find and play games from Xbox, NVIDIA GeForce NOW, Google Stadia, Utomik, and Amazon Luna. The Game Bar is a handy tool that lets gamers see their gameplay status and adjust settings without leaving the game. From measuring FPS, HDR, and VRR to altering screen ratio, response time, and Game Picture mode, Game Bar puts the user in charge. The Ark Dial doesn’t need rechargeable battery packs because it has a solar panel and a USB Type-C port.
