Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic rotating bezel surfaces in renders
Samsung is reportedly considering reintroducing the rotating bezel feature in its upcoming Galaxy Watch 6. Leaked renders of the “Classic” model have emerged, providing a glimpse of this potential design element.
Tipster @OnLeaks and MySmartPrice have released a set of “design” renders showcasing the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic. The renders reveal the return of the rotating bezel, a familiar feature from the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic.
The bezel appears slightly thinner, but not to the extent previously rumored. The circular display inside the bezel is said to measure 1.47 inches on the larger model.
Another design change inspired by the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro is evident in the Watch 6 Classic, featuring a distinct flat edge along the side. This alteration raises speculation about the potential discontinuation of the “Pro” model, although it remains uncertain, considering the surprise return of the rotating bezel. The renders also depict a brushed finish design and a magnetic clasp band similar to the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro.
Reports suggest that the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic may boast a 1.47-inch display with a higher resolution of 470 x 470 pixels. Furthermore, it is rumored to have a larger battery compared to its predecessor, with a potential capacity of 425mAh as opposed to the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic’s 361mAh.
The upcoming Galaxy Watch devices are expected to include various health and fitness-related features, notably the Irregular Heart Rhythm Notification, for which Samsung recently obtained FDA approval. This feature is anticipated to be available on the new Galaxy Watch devices at first.
Samsung is set to launch the Galaxy Watch 6 series in July, coinciding with the release of the Galaxy Z Fold 5, Flip 5, and the new Galaxy Tab S9 series. The event is reportedly scheduled for July 26 of this year.
