Samsung has silently introduced the Exynos 1330 and 1380 5nm 5G SoCs, after these surfaced last year. The Exynos 1380 is the successor to last year’s Exynos 1280, and the Exynos 1330 is a new model. Both these are based on 5nm process, similar to the Exynos 1280, have Cortex-A78 and Cortex-A55 CPUs and Mali-G68 MP5 GPU.
Both these support Full HD+ display, with 1380 supporting up to 144Hz refresh rate, and the 1330 supports up to 120Hz refresh rate. These support up to 200MP and 108 cameras, respectively, with up to 4K 30fps video recording.
The Exynos 1380 also has an enhanced NPU that supports up to 4.9 trillion operations per second for new and smarter mobile experiences such as advanced language recognition for voice assistance and enables multiple object recognition in the image to enhance the quality of each object.
Availability
These chips are already in mass production, according to Samsung. The Exynos 1380 will power the upcoming Galaxy A54, and the Exynos 1330 is expected to power the Galaxy A14 5G and the Galaxy M14 5G models.
