Redmi Pad 2 Snapdragon 680 Surfaces in Benchmarks
Redmi is preparing to launch the Pad 2, the successor to last year’s Redmi Pad. Recently, the Pad 2 made an appearance on both the FCC listing and Geekbench, providing insights into its key specifications.
According to the Geekbench listing with the model number 23073RPBFC, the Redmi Pad 2 will be powered by the Snapdragon 680 4G chipset, with a motherboard codename of “Bengal.” This chipset features four high-performance cores clocked at 2.40 GHz and four efficiency cores clocked at 1.90 GHz.
The processor will be accompanied by an Adreno 610 GPU. In comparison to the first-generation model, this processor represents a downgrade from the MediaTek Helio G99, which has a slightly powerful CPU and GPU.
Earlier FCC listing revealed that the Pad 2 will support Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) and Bluetooth BLE. It will run on the MIUI 14 for Pad, which is based on Android 13. The tablet is expected to be available in three memory variants: 4GB RAM with 64GB storage, 4GB RAM with 128GB storage, and 6GB RAM with 128GB storage.
Additionally, rumors suggest that the Pad 2 will feature a 10.95-inch 2K IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 2000 x 1200 pixels. It is expected to sport an 8MP rear camera, a 5MP front camera, and house a powerful, 8000mAh battery. We should get more details about the Redmi Pad 2 in the coming weeks.
