After teasers, Xiaomi has confirmed the launch of Redmi Note 12 series of phones in China on October 27th. The company also confirmed that the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ will be the world’s first phone to use the latest 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HPX sensor.
The 200MP sensor has a 1/1.4-inch sensor size,0.56μm size, and it supports super QPD autofocus solution. It offers 16-in-1 pixel binning equivalent to 50MP 1.12μm and 12.5MP 2.24μm, supports smart ISO Pro technology, triple ISO mode (low, medium, high mode), allowing the sensor to display more than 4 trillion colors (14-bit color depth). It supports single-frame progressive HDR (Staggered HDR), and supports 8K 30fps and 4K 120fps video shooting.
The company has posted the Redmi Note 12 Pro teaser that shows the phone in two colours. The Galaxy colour sparkles with light and cherry blossoms falling, and the Blue looks like soft light pouring out. The back has high-transparency DECO and AG frosted glass finish.
The Redmi Note 12 Pro features a 50MP Sony IMX766 1/1.56″ sensor, and 2μm fusion large pixels, and supports OIS. The phones will be powered by the latest MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC.
Xiaomi will also introduce the ultra-thin notebook Xiaomi Book Air 13 at the same event. We should know more details by tomorrow, before the devices go official on Thursday.
