After nubia Z50 launch in December last year, nubia has confirmed the launch of Z50 Ultra, the top-end model in the Z50 series in China on March 7th. The company has also confirmed that the fourth-generation under-display camera technology that has been in the development for six years.
nubia said that the camera under the screen is fully upgraded, offering improved selfie and video calling experience. It uses 16MP customized 2.24um super large pixel sensor with f/2.0 large aperture.
The phone will feature a 6.8-inch flexible flat screen from BOE with 1440Hz PWM dimming and UL eye protection certification. This will be the most perfect full screen in 2023 with UDC Pro+ independent display chip 1×1 independent pixel driver, said nubia.
The teaser shows ultra-narrow bezels, a metal frame and the phone should be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. It is also expected to feature a periscope camera, and a dedicated switch to go to gaming mode with one click.
This should bring some features from the Red Magic 8 Pro, but with a different design and a cheaper price. We should know more details in the coming days.
