Now Chennai Metro tickets on WhatsApp

Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) has launched WhatsApp chatbot-based QR ticketing system. This comes after a similar system was introduced by the Bengaluru Metro last year.

How to book CMRL tickets on WhatsApp?

Send “Hi” to +91 83000 8600
Select the preffered language – Tamil or English
Select book your ticket
Choose your origin and destination
Enter the number of tickets
Make Payment and get your ticket as QR code

You can also select more options to view Fare, Set Favorite routes, update profile, view timings, and more. It offers UPI payment, and you also get a separate link to pay via cards or net banking. Instead of choosing the origin station from the list, you can also share your location to view nearby station.

The new WhatsApp ticketing is a good option for the commuters those who don’t want to download a separate app to book ticket.

Similar to the CMRL app, it also offers 20% discount when you get tickets on WhatsApp.
