Majority Atlas Soundbar Worth The Price And Review

When it comes to high-quality but affordable speakers and radios, you can’t do much better than Majority. In the last few years, thanks to the power of online retail, this UK-based brand has taken off around the world. Here at GadgetGang, we’ve been impressed before, both by their pleasant, minimalist designs, and their quality products at a reasonable price. Today we thought we’d take a look at the Atlas Soundbar to see if it holds up to the same standards as their other products.

Why Buy A Soundbar?

Over the last two decades, soundbars have been rising in popularity, often replacing the more traditional speaker setup. This has happened for a number of reasons, but chief amongst them is that they offer great audio quality whilst taking up far less space.

In essence, they’re designed to project sound to a room from a smaller space giving the effect of a large speaker system without the need for enormous speakers.

Another benefit of having a soundbar is easy Bluetooth pairing, so whether you’re on android or iPhone, you’ll be able to pull up your music or podcasts straight away and listen in stereo from the comfort of your own home.

Of course, the quality of the sound is only as good as the quality of the soundbar.

So how does the Majority Atlas’s sound quality hold up?

Audio Quality

You don’t have to be a genius to know that the most important part of a speaker is the audio quality.

Now you might look at the price of this soundbar – only £29.95 – and expect some tinny piece of rubbish. The truth is far from it.

While the Atlas soundbar certainly isn’t a revolution in cutting-edge audio quality, the sound you’ll get is pretty remarkable nonetheless.

Bear in mind that, for the most part, a soundbar will always be a good substitute for a full speaker set-up rather than a replacement. In that regard, the Atlas is perfect because it will give you almost as good a sound as its competitors at a significantly lower price.

Design and Finish

It wouldn’t be fair to review a majority product without taking a moment to comment on the design. If there’s one thing Majority really excels at, it’s creating a product looks good and sounds good.

That being said, although the Atlas is certainly sleek and elegant in its design, it’s far from what you’d call imaginative. To be fair, there’s not an awful lot you can do with what is, essentially, just a black bar but, compared with some of their other designs, the Atlas doesn’t quite hold up. While it’s certainly not an eyesore, there’s also nothing special about it, aesthetically speaking.

Is the Atlas Soundbar easy to Use?

Put simply: yes. The controls are very basic, and if you want to connect it to your phone or other Bluetooth-enabled devices, then you shouldn’t have any difficulty setting it up.

It’s worth noting that you may run into some difficulties with Bluetooth pairing – especially on Windows computers – but this is generally a problem with the device your attempting to pair to and not the Atlas itself.

It does also have AUX and USB inputs, so if your run into real difficulties with Bluetooth, or prefer to do things the old-fashioned way, then that won’t be a problem.

The Atlas also has eight hours of battery life making it fully portable.

Customer Satisfaction

As with basically all of Majority’s products, the customer reviews are, for the most part, superb. It’s hard to argue with an average rating of 4.5/5 across 1795 reviews, but a few customers did run into problems.

Some took issue with the size, describing it as ‘bulky’ while others found the sound quality to be less consistent that advertised.

On the other hand, most customers seemed to agree that the sound quality was excellent and that the price was reasonable.

Is The Atlas Soundbar Worth It?

The Atlas soundbar is a great purchase for anyone looking to get good sound without spending hundreds of pounds. You’d be hard pushed to find anything approaching it in terms of audio quality for anything like the same price. Furthermore, it comes from a reliable brand that believes in the quality of their product strong enough to throw in a 3-year extended warranty.

While it doesn’t look exciting, and is, admittedly, a little on the large side for a portable speaker (45 x 6 x 5 cm), at the end of the day the most important thing is the sound, which Majority have, quite frankly, nailed.

Whether you’re listening to Spotify, streaming movies on Netflix, or chilling with your favorite games, the Atlas soundbar will give you an outstanding audio experience at an impressively low price.
