HONOR has unveiled its latest flagship foldable smartphone, the HONOR Magic V2, in China, as it had promised. According to HONOR, the device sets new standards in terms of slimness and weight, redefining the industry with advancements in form factor, battery life, display, and user experience.
With a weight of just 231g and a folded thickness of 9.9mm, the HONOR Magic V2 pushes the boundaries of innovation in foldable devices. It achieves this through meticulous refinement of product structure, manufacturing processes, and material selection.
Design, Display and Battery
One of the standout features of the HONOR Magic V2 is its Super-light Titanium Hinge, striking a perfect balance between weight and strength. Additionally, HONOR’s proprietary steel used in the hinge’s main body enhances durability, earning the device the prestigious durability certification from SGS.
The HONOR Magic V2 introduces the thinnest dual Silicon-carbon Batteries, measuring only 2.72mm on average. These batteries incorporate HONOR’s low-voltage charge energy-gathering technology, providing greater power output compared to graphite-based systems. The device boasts a 5000mAh battery capacity and supports 66W HONOR SuperCharge.
The foldable OLED LTPO display of the HONOR Magic V2 delivers stunning visuals, with support for 1.07 billion colors and exceptional color accuracy. Features like 3840Hz PWM Dimming technology and Dynamic Dimming minimize eye strain, ensuring comfortable viewing even during extended use. The device is equipped with an overclocked Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Latest Version SoC and 16GB of RAM.
Camera and Software
The camera setup on the HONOR Magic V2 includes a triple rear camera system with a 50MP Main Camera, a 50MP Ultra-Wide Camera, and a 20MP Telephoto Camera. These cameras leverage superior light sensing capabilities to capture impressive photos. The front-facing dual camera setup comprises two 16MP cameras and supports various capture modes.
Running on MagicOS 7.2 based on Android 13, the HONOR Magic V2 provides a smooth and feature-rich user experience for different scenarios, including social interactions, entertainment, work, and more.
