Google has started rolling out the Pixel feature drop June 2023; this brings helpful tools and updates for your Pixel Phone, Pixel Watch, and Fitbit devices.

Pixel Phones

  • Enhanced car crash detection: Pixel phones now share real-time location and call status with emergency contacts, in addition to contacting emergency services during car crashes.

  • Macro Focus for video: Capture stunning close-up videos with Pixel 7 Pro’s Macro Focus feature.

  • Hands-free self-timed photos: Take self-timed photos on Pixel 6 and newer phones by raising your palm to trigger the timer.

  • Dynamic and emoji wallpapers: Pixel 6 and newer phones offer cinematic wallpapers that bring your memories to life in 3D scenes. Create live wallpapers using over 4,000 emoji patterns and colors.

  • Improved Recorder speaker labels: Export transcripts to Google Docs, generate speaker-labeled video clips, and search for speakers within recordings using Recorder on Pixel 6 and newer phones.

  • Quick access to smart home controls: Manage smart home devices from the Pixel lock screen using the redesigned Google Home app home panel.

  • Smarter haptics: Pixel 6a and Pixel 7a feature adaptive haptics that adjust vibration intensity on hard surfaces.
