Garmin Edge 540 and 840 Series GPS Cycling Computers launched India
Today, Garmin India has launched its new GPS cycling computers, the Edge 540 and Edge 840 Series. These devices come after the launch of Garmin Forerunner 965 and 265 GPS running watches.

The Garmin Edge 540 and Edge 840 Series are cycling computers designed for durability and convenience in any riding environment. Both feature button controls and a 2.6-inch color display, with the Edge 840 Series also offering a responsive touchscreen.
With solar models available, the Edge 840 Solar and Edge 540 Solar offer impressive battery life of up to 32 hours in demanding use or up to 60 hours in battery saver mode.
These cycling computers are equipped with advanced training metrics and navigational tools, powered by Firstbeat Analytics. Cyclists can track metrics such as VO2 max, training status, training load, and recovery time.
Those wearing a compatible Garmin smartwatch can also receive insights on their overall health and wellness. The Edge 540 and 840 Series provide in-ride notifications on when to refuel or rehydrate, as well as insights on how the rider’s body is adapting to different environments.
Built-in safety and tracking features like LiveTrack and group messaging are included for all cycling activities, and the devices are compatible with Varia cycling radars and headlights. The Edge 540 and 840 Series can easily connect with Tacx indoor smart trainers for indoor training sessions.
The Garmin Connect app allows riders to create and send courses to their device, view technical details, log personal achievements, and track training progress.
The Connect IQ Store smartphone app offers custom data fields, apps, and widgets that can be downloaded to the Edge device. Setup is quick and easy, with information, courses, and training tools easily accessible through a simple setup process. Data fields can be adjusted directly from the Edge device or paired smartphone for added convenience.
