Garmin Edge 1040 Solar GPS Bike Computer And Varia RCT715 Tail Light With Built in Camera Launched in India

Garmin today introduced two new cycling products: the Edge 1040 Solar, a cutting-edge GPS biking computer, and the Varia RCT715 rearview radar-enabled tail light with a built-in camera.

Edge 1040 Solar

The Edge 1040 Solar, which features Garmin’s patented PowerGlass technology, provides over 100 hours of battery life when used in energy conservation mode. The device also has multi-band GNSS technology to enable more precise GPS placement in difficult riding conditions, such as crowded cities or areas with thick vegetation.

Real-time monitoring and tracking of effort levels throughout a ride; easy setup; and pre-populated unique ride profiles based on past Edge data, ride types, and sensors. From there, using the Garmin Connect smart device app on a compatible smartphone, you may manage bicycle activity profiles.

The Edge 1040 Solar gives cyclists information from Firstbeat Analytics, such as VO2 max, recovery time, training load, training concentration, and more, to help them get better at what they do. Additionally, ClimbPro enables riders to analyse their performance on the climbs post-ride directly from the Edge 1040 Solar or on Garmin Connect. Riders can also check the remaining ascent and grade for each hill when following a course.

Download the Trailforks app to browse routes and trail information from more than 80 nations. Cycling enthusiasts can use the Edge 1040 Solar whenever they want because it easily integrates with the Tacx indoor trainer and automatically uploads rides to Garmin Connect. Garmin’s built-in safety and monitoring tools include incident detection, support, and LiveTrack, which lets riders’ loved ones see where they are in real time and see their entire planned route.
