Apple unveiled Apple Watch Series 8 and Apple Watch SE along with Apple Watch Ultra, which include innovative technology and performance and safety enhancements. Apple Watch Series 8 has a big, Always-On Retina display and a durable front crystal. Apple Watch Series 8 adds temperature sensing, retrospective ovulation estimates, crash detection, and international roaming to best-in-class health and safety features like the ECG app and fall detection.
The new Apple Watch SE has activity tracking, high- and low-heart rate notifications, and emergency SOS, as well as crash detection and a redesigned rear cover that matches the three original case styles. Both models are powered by watchOS 9, which adds Lunar and Metropolitan watch faces, an updated Workout app, sleep phases, an AFib History feature, and a new Medications app.
Crash detection only runs when driving, helping preserve the watch’s 18-hour battery life. Apple’s Low Power Mode boosts battery life to 36 hours. The feature will also be available on older Series 4 devices running WatchOS 9. When this mode is turned on, the always-on display and automatic workout tracking are turned off.
However, activity tracking and crash detection are still active. Cellular roaming is coming to older watches, including the Series 8. Series 8 aluminium comes in midnight, starlight, silver, and red; stainless steel is silver, gold, and graphite.
Apple Watch Series 8 is available in 41mm and 45mm aluminium and stainless steel cases and all bands. Nike and Apple Watch Hermès have new bands and watch faces for their watches this fall. Nike’s new Sport Loop includes the “Just Do It” logo woven into the band.
Starting this fall, any Apple Watch running watchOS 9 will be able to access all the Nike watch faces, including the new Bounce colours. Apple Watch: Hermès announces two new bands: H Diagonal, with hundreds of microperforations, and Gourmette Metal, with a stainless steel chain and noir leather.
Apple Watch SE 2022
The new Apple Watch SE is a perfect way for people to start their Apple Watch journey, use Family Setup, or give a watch to loved ones. Upgrades include the S8’s SiP advanced dual-core CPU, which makes it 20 percent faster than the previous model, Crash Detection, and international roaming.
Apple Watch SE’s casing design is the same, but its nylon composite back shell makes it lighter. Apple Watch SE owners can access watchOS 9’s Compass app for increased exercise and wellness capabilities. Apple Watch SE comes in 40mm and 44mm aluminium casings in midnight, starlight, and silver.
