Apparently, after seven years of work, Apple is almost ready to introduce its first mixed-reality headset. However, the emphasis on this innovative technology will result in a more subdued 2023, the report added.

According to Mark Gurman’s report, Apple intended to unveil the headset in January 2023 and begin shipping it later that year. In order to debut it in time for the annual Worldwide Developers Conference in June, the company now plans to do it this spring.
Meanwhile, Apple has already given the device for testing with some high-profile software developers, allowing them to get started creating third-party apps. The device’s operating system, internally termed “Borealis,” will be known as xrOS in the marketplace.
He further asserted that, under the existing schedule, Apple may release the product to the general public under the likely moniker Reality Pro before informing developers of its software features in June. The company then would deliver the product later in the fall of 2023, according to this schedule.
