Apple just unveiled the iPhone 14 series, iPhone 14 Pro, and 14 Pro Max models. But compared to prior updates, it seems that these cellphones will only get a minimal update. As a result, there have been rumours concerning the iPhone 15, and some big changes are currently being debated.
Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo was quoted as saying that he thinks Apple would make the iPhone 15 Pros and iPhone 15 models more different from each other to increase the number of shipments of the Pro versions and the new iPhone ASP. He is also of the opinion that, going a step further, Apple would start differentiating the iPhone 15 Pro Max and the iPhone 15 Pro in order to cater to specific consumer needs.
To increase one’s sales and earnings in a market that has reached its saturation point, it is best practice to use a specific product segmentation plan. The analyst, who has said that Apple’s efforts to make a 5G modem chip have “failed,” thinks that Apple won’t be able to use its own processors in the iPhones of 2023. For the iPhone 15 models, the company is likely to rely on Qualcomm.

Mark Gurman claims that doing so would make logical sense for Apple to eventually change the name of its top-end phone from “Pro Max” to “Ultra,” since it is much simpler and would more closely correspond with Apple’s most recent naming strategy of Pro, Max, and Ultra tiers on the Mac processors.
Rumors claim the iPhone 15 models will look identical to the iPhone 14 models, however, the pill-and-hole cutout will expand throughout the full lineup with Dynamic Island. It isn’t a static cutout and therefore can change size and shape to fit into the UI and provide additional visual capabilities on the iPhone’s display. Apple employs pixels to enlarge the pill-shaped cutout for different tasks. Dynamic Island stores background tasks you may need to return to while using your phone.
If Apple maintains its typical September launch schedule, the iPhone 15 will be unveiled in September 2023.
