Amazon and Uber announce new benefits Prime members

Amazon and Uber have announced an exciting second phase of their partnership, focusing on providing additional benefits to Amazon Prime members across all modes of transportation on Uber. This collaboration aims to offer a seamless travel experience while allowing Prime members to enjoy the convenience of going cashless.

Previous Benefits: Amazon and Uber

In 2022, Uber and Amazon joined forces to provide exclusive benefits to Prime members. These benefits included access to UberPremier at the price of UberGo, along with up to 3 upgrades per month. Additionally, Prime members received a 20% discount or up to Rs. 60 on up to 3 trips per month for Uber Auto, Moto, Rentals, and Intercity services.

Cashback Rewards on Uber Rides

As part of this association, Amazon is now offering cashback rewards on unlimited Uber rides for its Prime members who use Amazon Pay as their payment mode.

Out of the 5% cashback, Prime members will receive 4% as Uber credit and 1% as Amazon Pay cashback. This means that they can save more on future Uber rides while also fulfilling their shopping needs on Amazon.in.

Availability and Easy Access to Benefits

Starting from May 2023, Prime members can continue to enjoy 5% cashback on all rides when they pay with Amazon Pay. Availing these benefits is effortless for Prime members. All they need to do is link their Amazon Pay wallet to Uber, and they can start enjoying the cashback rewards on their rides.

Speaking about this association, Anuradha Aggarwal, Director, User Growth and CMO, Amazon Pay India, said:

Our customers, especially Prime members, want a simple and easy way to pay online with good benefits. Our partnerships with big brands like Uber help us do that. Many people use cabs and autos every day, so this offer is another way to connect with them and give them a safe, convenient and rewarding payment experience through Amazon Pay.

Commenting on the extension of the association, Abhinav Agarwal, Director – Prime, Amazon India, said:

We want to make our Amazon Prime customers happy and satisfied. We try to make their daily lives better and help them enjoy the benefits of Prime. Commenting on the partnership, Nitish Bhushan, Director, Central Operations, Uber India & South Asia, said:

We are happy to work with Amazon and give more benefits to Amazon Prime customers through Uber. We both want to give our customers a smooth and special experience.
