Acer Unveils Swift 14 Swift X14 And Swift Go 16/14 Laptops

Acer unveiled the first models in its new Acer Swift Go range today, as well as the new Acer Swift X 14 and Acer Swift 14. Acer also introduced the Predator Helios and Nitro laptops today at CES 2023.

Acer Swift Go 16 (SFG16-71) and Swift Go 14 (SFG14-71)

The new Swift Go 16 (SFG16-71) and Swift Go 14 (SFG14-71) feature a fast-refreshing OLED display. These thin and light laptops have a 500-nit peak brightness, 100% DCI-P3 colour spectrum, and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification.

Swift Go 16 features a 16-inch 3.2K OLED display with 3200 x 2000 resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Swift Go 14 has a 14-inch 2.8KOLED display with a resolution of 2880×1800 and a refresh rate of 90 Hz. The TÜV Rheinland Eyesafe® display certification, the 16:10 aspect ratio, and the option to use touch make it easy to work, study, or play for long periods of time, while the backlit keyboards and OceanGlass touchpads enable smooth scrolling.

The new Swift Go 16 and Swift Go 14 are powered by 13th-generation Intel Core H-series CPUs and Intel Evo platform laptops. They feature top-notch performance and 9.5 hours of battery life. 13th Gen Intel Core CPUs with the Intel Movidius VPU offer a specialized AI engine for smooth video collaboration, AI, and integration. The notebooks include Intel Unison, which lets users connect Android or iOS devices for a universal, easy-to-use experience.

Both laptops have an updated TwinAir dual-fan system, dual D6 copper heat pipes, and an air-inlet keyboard to keep cool and increase performance and reliability. 14.9 mm aluminium chassis with 90% screen-to-body ratio and ultra-slim side bezels 14-inch model weighs less than 1.3 kg and has 4.15 mm bezels. 16-inch slim side frames measure 4.2 mm and weigh 1.6 kg.

Swift Go 16 and 14 both feature USB Type-C, Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.1, and MicroSD card readers. It also incorporates Wi-Fi 6E, and for storage, both support up to 2 TB of PCIe Gen 4 SSD and 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM.

Swift Go laptops have video conferencing capabilities like background blur, automatic framing, and eye contact. Its 1440p webcam with Temporal Noise Reduction (TNR) gives high-quality video feedback even in low-light circumstances and partners with Acer PurifiedVoice AI noise reduction for crisp, clear images and audio for conferencing and classrooms.

Acer Swift X 14 (SFX14-71)

The 13th-generation Intel Core H-series processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 GPUs power the Swift X 14 (SFX14-7) laptop. The Acer Swift X 14’s enhanced thermals include a bigger fan, a dedicated air inlet keyboard, and dual D6 copper heat pipes, while the revised chassis fits a larger battery for all-day performance.

The 14-inch 2.8K OLED display has a 120 Hz frame refresh rate and shows 100% of the DCI-P3 colour range in vivid detail. It is also certified by VESA DisplayHDR TrueBlack 500. The screen has a peak brightness of about 500 nits. The 1080p FHD webcam and Acer PurifiedView and PurifiedVoice with AI Noise Reduction make it easy for creators to work together on the go. Also, the latest ports, like dual USB Type-C, HDMI 2.1, and a MicroSD card reader, keep creators connected to displays, printers, and other devices.

Acer Swift 14

The latest Swift 14 (SF14-71T) features a thin-and-light CNC-machined unibody chassis wrapped in aerospace-grade aluminium in Mist Green or Steam Blue. The 14.95 mm (0.59 inch)-thin, 1.2 kgs (2.64 lbs)-thick chassis is elevated by diamond-cut edges and double-anodized materials. The OceanGlass touchpad contributes to Acer’s Earthion objective by being manufactured from ocean-bound plastic waste.

The Acer Swift 14 has two 14-inch touchscreen display options: WQXGA (2560×1600) or WUXGA (1920×1200), both covered in antimicrobial Corning Gorilla Glass to increase durability, provide scratch resistance, and prevent the growth of stains, etc.

The Swift 14 laptop has 13th-generation Intel Core H-series CPUs and more than 9.5 hours of battery life. The notebooks include Intel Unison, allowing users to collaborate across operating systems on key productivity tasks. The Swift 14’s excellent thermal solutions include an air intake design, Acer’s TwinAir dual-fan technology, and D6 copper heat pipes.

Conferences, classes, and video conversations will be more enjoyable for hybrid employees, remote workers, and students on the go thanks to the Swift 14’s 1440p QHD camera with TNR technology, Acer PurifiedVoice, and two speakers improved with DTS Audio. Windows Hello and the built-in fingerprint reader make it easier for users to log in without sacrificing security. The two USB Type-C Thunderbolt 4 ports and one HDMI 2.1 port make it easy to connect to other devices.

Price and availability

  • Acer Swift Go 16 (SFG16-71) is priced at US$799 (Rs. 66,240 / EUR 1099 / RMB 6,599 approx.) and will be available for purchase in March in EMEA and China, while it rolls out in North America in June.
  • Acer Swift Go 14 (SFG14-71) is priced at US$849 (Rs. 70,390 / EUR 999 / RMB 5,499 approx.) and will be available for purchase in February in EMEA and China, while it rolls out in North America in May.
  • Acer Swift X 14 (SFX14-71G) is priced at US$1,099 (Rs. 91,115 / EUR 1499 / RMB 7,099 approx.) and will be available for purchase starting in April.
  • Acer Swift 14 (SF14-71T) is priced at US$1399 (Rs. 1,15,985 / EUR 1,699 / RMB 7,999 approx.) and will be available for purchase in January in EMEA and China, while it rolls out in North America in March.
