NVIDIA at its CES 2023 event introduced the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti, after the launch of RTX 4090 and RTX 4080 in September. This is nothing but the 12GB model of the RTX 4080 which the company announced, but didn’t launch at that time. It uses 4nm process from TSMC, are based on new Ada Lovelace Architecture and feature DLSS 3.
It promises up to 15% faster performance than a GeForce RTX 3090 Ti in 3D rendering. Like the RTX 4090 and 4080, the newest RTX 40 Series GPU features dual AV1 video encoders.
When enabled in top video-editing and livestreaming apps — such as Adobe Premiere Pro (via the Voukoder plug-in), DaVinci Resolve, OBS and Jianying — export times are cut in half with improved video quality, said the company.
The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070Ti comes in 12GB with 7,680 CUDA cores and 12GBof high-speed Micron GDDR6X memory, and with DLSS 3, it is faster than the RTX 3090 Ti and consumes less power compared to RTX 3080 (12 GB), said the company. It promises 12x relative performance upgrade over the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti.
Pricing and availability
The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070Ti is priced starting at $799 (Rs. 66,206 approx.) which is $100 cheaper than the price which was announced for the RTX 4080 12GB. In India, it is priced at Rs. 80,000. It will roll out globally from January 5th.
There is no Founders Edition, so it will be only available through Third-party OEMs such as ASUS, Colorful, Galax, GIGABYTE, Innovision 3D, MSI, Palit, PNY and Zotac.
