Spotify Desktop Gets Redesigned Your Library Now Playing
Spotify introduces major updates to its desktop version, enhancing the Your Library and Now Playing views for a superior user experience. The revamped Spotify Desktop offers improved features to explore, curate, listen to, and organize music on a computer or web browser.
Spotify’s New Desktop Interface
Spotify has updated its desktop interface to include a new Your Library on the left-hand side for quick access to saved music and podcasts. The right-hand side features a Now Playing view with information about the current song or podcast, artist details, tour dates, and merch.
Select podcasts even offer transcripts. The Friend Activity feed is still available via the “friends” icon next to your profile picture. These changes provide a richer experience with quicker access to personal favorites.
Spotify’s Desktop Redesigned Features:
- Streamlined Library View: Easily switch between expanded and compact views of Your Library by clicking the “Your Library” button in the top right corner.
- Enhanced Library Search: With the new Library design, you can now search and filter your playlists, music, podcasts, and audiobooks separately, avoiding search results from the entire Spotify catalog.
- Personalized Experience: Customize the size of Your Library and Now Playing views according to your preference, making it fit your listening style.
- Easy Playlist Management: Move, pin, and drag-and-drop playlists within the Library for effortless organization. You can also add songs directly to editable listed playlists.
These redesigned features aim to provide a more user-friendly and personalized experience for Spotify Desktop users.
